Ever since I found out that my cat had ran away Saturday afternoon, I've been sleeping on the first floor of our two story condo. The balcony she escaped from and the front door to the condo are adjacent to our living room. I had been sleeping on the couch in hopes that she would return, I feared that if I slept upstairs in the bedroom I may not hear her return. Every time I passed the balcony I would draw pack the curtains on the door and look out in hopes of finding her there waiting for me. With no luck I would proceed to check the front door hoping she knew which door was ours.
I prayed she would find her way home safely, and finally at 1:30 am on Tuesday morning, she did. I was returning downstairs to set myself up on the couch after having watched some re-runs of sex and the city in the den upstairs. As had been my routine for the past few day I went to the blacony to draw back the curtain. I had left the light of the balcony on ever since she ran away in hopes that it would help her find her way back home. As I looked out onto the balcony, there she was sitting on the patio table staring back at me and waiting.
I have to say I honestly thought she would never find her way back home as she's an indoor cat and has never been outdoors. I thank the lord for keeping her safe and helping her find her way home to me.
